Hello Fourth Grade Families,
The fourth graders worked hard this week on their mythical beasts posters and in their poetry books. We have done six types of poems so far. We also watched a clip of Maya Angelou’s Be a Rainbow in Someone’s Cloud, and discussed and wrote ways we can be that rainbow. We have just about finished our novel study of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and will be taking the book test next week. We continue our measurement unit, learning about both customary and metric. We also continue our observations of caterpillars and are eagerly waiting for them to make their chrysalises and begin metamorphises.

We are entering into that weird stage of Chicago weather. You know! We will have all four seasons in the same day. Please dress your child in layers. We will go outside if there is a chance of it and it will be better if the students are dressed accordingly.
