Another stellar week in fourth grade! We have begun reading our novel, Number the Stars. We discussed differentiating questions between ones that are inferential and literal. We highlighted the literal questions yellow, because they are easy and mellow. We highlighted the inferential questions pink, because it we need to give that question a think. We also listened to stories from people who lived through 9/11 and reflected on what we should remember about that day. As a class, we created a collaborated poster that says “God is good”. Each student decorated a piece of it, and then we pieced it together. Students also planted lima beans in Ziplock bags. They have theorized whether or not beans can spout plants if they are not planted in soil.. Students also worked on multi-digit addition and subtraction.
