Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fantastic summer. I am so excited to begin the new year. This week was short. We got to know one another, we did some math review and created rules for our classroom. We are currently working on our class mascot election. Students have broken into five groups and are working on campaign posters and slogans for their individual candidates. We will hold a primary and then a final election next week. Next week, we will begin our novel study of Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. We will be working on multidigit addition and subtraction, studying plants and animals, and begin writing our essays about scientists. So much to do! Have a wonderful weekend
