Hello Fourth Grade Families,
We are in the final stretch! We had a busy week back. We have finished our book and sent it off to be published today. We should have it in about a month. We also kicked off Fun Run yesterday. Today’s goal is to get three donations tonight. Fun Run will be on Friday, April 24th. We also will be getting our caterpillars next week. The students will observe them as they grow, create their chrysalises, and metamorphosize into butterflies. We will release them into the wild when they are ready. We have begun our new novel study, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume this week. We have also begun our poetry unit. Students will create their own poetry books. In math, we have also begun our measurements unit. In science, we are wrapping up or unit on energy and will be taking the chapter test next week. In religion, we are learning how to look up scripture verses and how to understand them and interpret them. Busy week!

Monday, April 20- Chicago Blackhawks Day- Send out 5 emails with Fun Run Link
Tuesday, April 21- Chicago Cubs Day- Get an out of state donation
Wednesday, April 22- Chicago White Sox Day- Get the Biggest Donation
Thursday, April 23- Chicago Bears Day! Make the final push and beat your goal
Friday, April 24- Fun Run- Spirit Wear
****RECESS REMINDER***
We are entering into that weird stage of Chicago weather. You know! We will have all four seasons in the same day. Please dress your child in layers. We will go outside if there is a chance of it and it will be better if the students are dressed accordingly.
